What if my spouse is served with divorce but does not answer?

If your spouse if served but they do not answer the divorce petition within 20 days of the date they receive it, then you can get what’s called a default divorce. What that means is that the clerk will enter a notice saying the other person has not filed an answer. If they haven’t filed an answer then they are not disputing anything so the court can actually grant your divorce without the part needing to agree to it. Website literally says all relative adoptions, but when you call, the guy that answers says they only handle uncontested step parent adoption. Don’t lie on the website just to get people to call. If you do all relatives, retrain your answering people.

Excellent Service from Monica and the team. I am so thankful to have found this team to help me with my dissolution of marriage with a minor child.
