Can we have mediation if one of the parties resides outside the area?

There are a few options available if a party is residing outside of the area where the case is filed. The party could either be required to come back to the county in which the case is pending to go to the mediation or they could appear by phone or skype if the other party is in agreement. Usually there are no issues between parties regarding this and it is agreed upon for the convenience and expense of the person residing outside of the area. Website literally says all relative adoptions, but when you call, the guy that answers says they only handle uncontested step parent adoption. Don’t lie on the website just to get people to call. If you do all relatives, retrain your answering people.
