What is mediator’s role during mediation?
The mediator is not going to provide you any type of legal advice during the mediation, which is why you would want to have an attorney with you to look out for your rights and to tell you what your exposure may be if you cannot come to an agreement and must let the Court decide your fate. A mediator is going to go back and forth between the parties with the different offers from them, and outline all of the issues and attempt to come up with creative ways of resolving the case upon which each party can agree.
