Can I change attorneys in the middle of my Florida divorce case?
You always have the right to choose a new divorce attorney at any point in the process where you feel like your attorney is not representing you well. One way is that you notify your current attorney that you are seeking new counsel. And if you find another attorney you would prefer to work with, the new attorney will send your current attorney a substitution of counsel to sign. Otherwise, if you have not found a new attorney, you and your current attorney can sign a stipulation to withdraw from your case and have an order entered on it.
However, it is always best if you first discuss your concerns with your current attorney and try to find a solution or an answer. The reason is that you both the client and attorney have time and knowledge invested in your case and many times problems are a result of misunderstanding and clarity. Also, sometimes the grass looks greener on the other side and it may not be.
