Can I be ordered into mediation?

It is typical that when you are proceeding with a case in Florida that you would be required in some counties to go to a mediation. Hillsborough County requires mediation prior to any temporary hearing or trial, if the parties cannot agree outside of mediation. It would be court ordered by the judge and you would be found in contempt of the order by the court if you did not comply. Unfortunately, even if you do not think you will be able to settle the case, you are still required to attend one. Also, mediation can be accomplished by telephone or webcam if it is not convenient for you to attend in person. Website literally says all relative adoptions, but when you call, the guy that answers says they only handle uncontested step parent adoption. Don’t lie on the website just to get people to call. If you do all relatives, retrain your answering people.

Excellent Service from Monica and the team. I am so thankful to have found this team to help me with my dissolution of marriage with a minor child.
