Can mediators in Florida give legal advice?

Mediators are unbiased and neutral individuals who mediate the terms between parties at mediation to attempt to come to a settlement agreement. It is unethical for them to provide any type of legal advice to either party, even if they are a licensed family law attorney. When selecting a mediator, make sure you know his or her qualifications and that he or she is a divorce/family law attorney with great experience in the field. It is also best if you have your own experienced divorce/family law attorney with you so that he or she can advise you as to the law and your best interests, as the mediator cannot give legal advice. Website literally says all relative adoptions, but when you call, the guy that answers says they only handle uncontested step parent adoption. Don’t lie on the website just to get people to call. If you do all relatives, retrain your answering people.

Excellent Service from Monica and the team. I am so thankful to have found this team to help me with my dissolution of marriage with a minor child.
