In my Tampa, FL family law or divorce case, what happens in a temporary hearing?
At a temporary hearing, the court will hear evidence in your divorce or family law case on any issues regarding temporary child support, custody and visitation, alimony and maybe a temporary division of certain assets and debts. Sometimes you may want to divide an account so that you can both use it for attorneys’ fees. You can only attend a temporary hearing after you have attended mediation and attempted to work it out yourselves. It is basically at a medium point of your divorce where if you need to have child support or alimony or any factor above, that you can get this done temporarily before a final determination of all of the issues in the case is made by either the parties or the judge.
