Can I ask for marriage counseling if my spouse files for divorce?

If you are in an active divorce proceeding then the court has jurisdiction of your case and you can file a motion requesting counseling. If the court does order counseling then that would be a court order and the parties would be required to do it, but again it would have to be pursuant to a court order. Also, in Florida it is unlikely that you would be able to obtain a court order requiring counseling. The reason is that Florida is a no fault divorce state and there are essentially no requirements to divorce, except that the party filing the divorce believes the marriage is irretrievably broken. Website literally says all relative adoptions, but when you call, the guy that answers says they only handle uncontested step parent adoption. Don’t lie on the website just to get people to call. If you do all relatives, retrain your answering people.
